Weekly Tips for Your Peak Fitness and Wellness

This Week's Tip: Does a Cold Mean Calling It Quits?

Some exercisers see the least sniffle as an excuse to stay on the couch while others keep pushing after hacking up a lung. So, how do you know when to curl up with a good book, and when to get back on the road? If you don’t have a fever and symptoms are above the neck, then you’re fine to still exercise, just take it easy. However, if you’ve got signs of the flu, such as fatigue, muscle aches, and swollen glands, or if you’ve got a chest cold or phlegm-filled cough, you’re better off postponing your workout until things clear up.
