By encouraging others to step outside for fitness, we hope to cultivate the spirit of the outdoors inside each one of us—a spirit that inspires individuals to achieve personal emotional wellbeing (MIND), boundless physical health (BODY), and spiritual fulfillment (SPIRIT), and to turn that power outward to positively impact the world.

Coach Sarah

Sarah Robertson Sutton, MS, founder of Outside In Fitness, LLC, as well as founder and lead coach of Truce, LLC weight and life transformation coaching, has been an ACE certified personal trainer since 2001, a Wellcoaches/ACSM certified wellness coach since 2005, and a certified Christian transformation coach since 2009. She holds a master's degree in exercise science and additional outdoor fitness, yoga, and pilates certifications.

As a former fitness and weight loss editor with Prevention magazine, Sarah has more than 250 written articles to her credit, including "The Incredible Ice Cream Diet" and "Goodbye Belly Fat!" Now considered an expert herself with original workout plans in Fitness and Self magazines and contributions to wellness coaching research, Sarah passionately espouses nourishing your body with activities and foods you enjoy (like peanut butter!) instead of dieting, which she learned while working at a women's healthy lifestyle spa. Her extensive experience, fresh approach, and personal weight loss make her an innovative professional and compassionate partner in your quest to reach your ultimate health vision.

We're in the outdoor health business, so it makes sense that we'd want to do our part to preserve the natural beauty in which we work and play.

We print our brochures on recycled paper using vegetable-based inks from FSC-certified printers. We've switched to BPA-free reusable water bottles, CFL light bulbs, and natural sunscreens and bug sprays recommended in our fit tips, and we bring back our Whole Foods bags when we remember 'em. Since what's good for the earth is also better for our bodies, we eat organic when we can, to support sustainable farming practices and avoid consuming pesticides.

Of course, we're far from perfect and always learning.—We're still trying to figure out how to "commute to work" with fitness equipment strapped to our backs! It doesn't take much, but it does take commitment. We think our planet is worth it, don't you?
